Today will be my 4th 100% raw day in a row this week. I feel like a mental fog has lifted. The internal fight with my cravings has lessened. I just can’t believe how much of a fight Tuesday and Wed were. I was really crazy, but I made it. Had a big salad from Chop’t last night. Really good. This morning I weighed in at 179. Great!
I’ve really been inspired by the Before and After photo section of Raw Food Talk. Oh my goodness, in just 4, 5, 8 months these people look like they’ve been on Extreme Makeover. Seriously, this is they inspiration I needed to hold on to my commitment to Raw Foods.
I also watched 2 videos yesterday that were very, very helpful.

Fat deadens the nerves so you don’t have to feel…that’s why it’s comfort food. Did you know that??? I was like “wow”

Congratulations! What you are doing is important.
And don’t be too hard on yourself with 100% this or that – unless that’s what drives you! Even us long term raw fooders (especially us long term raw fooders) remain mentally healthy by remembering that cooked food is not evil and our bodies are inherently healthy. So a little cooked food here or there (I always say I am 98% raw 98% of the time, just to exemplify how arbitrary the % system is anyway:-) – a little cooked food is not “bad”, will not make you unhealthy or fat, and actually allowing it in small portions once in a while facilitates the mental health needed to become a long term raw fooder. This is meant to be a lifestyle, not a diet. The most imoprtant thing is to find a way that works for you for life. And change that approach as often as neccessary!
I admire your commitment and drive. If you wanna view more recent raw vegan videos (or the past ones) http://youtube.com/purerenegade
Continue the good work. You are doing this!
